If you are interested in an independent project and would like to be matched with a faculty mentor, please contact us. GET A HEAD START!!
Designed for all majors in Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, this course will help you explore the concept of undergraduate research. Whether it is ground breaking research that will help solve problems across the nation, or a creative project that takes an artistic step further than others have taken it in the past, undergraduate research is about you being a part of creating something. Get started in gaining the skills highly sought after by employers and graduate schools.
LAHS students only. (2 credits- Students sign up for two credits in the fall and have until the end of the spring semester to complete all the assignments)

GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH!!
 With the increasing need for research skills in the job market and graduate school, this course is designed to give students a broad overview of quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, and creative approaches to research. Faculty guest speakers from the College and hands on experience with research software are just a few aspects of the course. Students will complete a research proposal, learn about funding sources, and connect with faculty mentors.
No previous research experience necessary. Those with previous research coursework can use this course to further a project or start a new one.
Can be used as a research experience for the University Honors Program. See your University Honors Program advisor.
